Posting on a Saturday, my holy day. Sacrilege. I wanted to mention this earlier but by the time I got done watching the conference and crying from its grandeur it was already too late. Yesterday, President Obama attended a House GOP retreat in Baltimore for a lil’ Q&A sesh in which the House Republibros could ask him anything they wanted! Oh man, what’s Obama got himself into this time? That’s what you’re thinking, ISN’T IT?! This is probably what everyone thought going into this except the White House administration.
America was then swiftly reminded that the dude was a constitutional lawyer that graduated from Harvard Law School and that fucking around is something he doesn’t do. After a short introduction he opened it up for questions. And the opposition was not short of questions and concerns over the President/Democrat’s agenda. But to put it simply, Obama dominated the room and made everyone in his vicinity into a piece of subservient old white man meat. A question was asked and the President systematically destroyed the question and sometimes the asshole who asked it, but not in the manner that you may think I mean when I say “SYSTEMATIC DESTRUCTION.” They were responded to with actual common sense, answers that any American watching could easily understand, and think, “oh wow that made a lot of sense, yeah those guys asking questions are fucking clowns.”
The event was utterly embarrassing for all the congressional Republicans involved.
“The president looked genuinely engaged, willing to discuss things. Democrats believe that he tossed away the GOP talking points and lack of real plans into a bludgeon against them. ‘The whole question was structured by a talking point,’ he told Jeb Hensarling. Obama took the blame for not living up to some of his promises on transparency in health care negotiations. He displayed a familiarity with Republican proposals that seemed to astonish those who asked questions of him. And at the end, Republicans rushed up to him, pens and photo cameras in hands, wanting autographs and pictures.” [The Atlantic]
A teacher disciplining and silencing a classroom of brats. Even Fox News cut away with ~20mins remaining in the event because it was so bad.
I highly recommend giving it a peak:
Entertaining right from the start. Look how stupid Mike Pence is. HA.
