So the gold medal game was Sunday, the final day of the Olympics.  It was pretty much the best hockey game ever played so if you missed it feel free to kill yourself cause nothing as cool will ever happen again, unless the same exact thing happens in 4 years except USA wins in a shootout or USA still loses but Crosby gets cross checked through the fucking planet.

But yes, if you missed it, USA lost in overtime.  The game was silly intense the whole time and when Zach Parise scored a 6v5 goal with 24 seconds left in regulation for the US to tie the game I thought that Jesus was going to carry the US to gold.

And then Sidney Crosby shit on Jesus and America.

The Semi-finals are today!  USA already played cause I’m really late with this post (any post for that matter!) and they won!  They actually did more than win, they murdered Finland.  The final score was 6-1 and Finland only scored after USA pulled Ryan Miller and put in their backup goalie for the final ~10mins of the game.

So USA will play the winner of Canada vs Slovakia.  Although I find it hard to believe that Slovakia could beat Canada, who knows!  Slovakia has been much better than I expected.  They played a very good game in the quarterfinals against a VERY solid Sweden team to knock them out and get themselves to where they are now.

If Canada wins this we’re gonna be witnessing the best fucking gold medal game of all time.  Remember, USA hasn’t won a gold medal since the Lake Placid games in 1980.

Phew!  If you managed to catch even a single game yesterday chances are it was at least mildly exciting.  Latvia brought their game against the Czechs into overtime and almost pulled off an insane upset.  The Belarus vs. Switzerland game went into a SO where the Swiss sealed it.  And if you watched the Canada game then you may have broken the law because Rape happened.  In the last game of the day, Slovakia defeated Norway 4 to 3 bringing me to four for four. Today marks the beginning of the playoff/elimination rounds of the Olympic Men’s Hockey tournament!  It’s the first round so USA doesn’t play due to getting an auto pass into round two for being superior to every other country in the world.

Lineup for today:

Switzerland vs. Belarus 3:00 EST  (winner of this game plays USA)

Germany vs. Canada 7:30 EST

Czech Republic vs. Latvia 10:00 EST

Slovakia vs. Norway 12:00am EST
