It’s folksy and down to Earth

NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, YEAH, MAYBE!  Our friends at Fox & Friends have now provided justification for ballpen’ing the fuck out of your hand when preparing for an event in which you’re being paid $100,000 to speak at and be a role model/icon for.  “Folksy” and “down-to-Earth” are the terms they used to describe Sarah’s behavior at the National Tea Party Convention.  OK!

Also, why is Sarah Palin the new anti-teleprompter spokesperson?  She uses them.  So does every politician in existence.  Why is there an anti-teleprompter movement?  OH, the way things are!

sarahpalin_handnotesHAHA get it?  Cause it’s like she’s in high school with the notes on her hand and the you know?!  She doesn’t need a teleprompter, she’ll just cover her entire body in ink and read off herself.  BOOYAH, Alaskan ingenuity.

teabaggerThe National Crazy Convention which is scheduled for next month in Nashville is falling apart!  The convention has been subject to controversy over its absurdly expensive tickets ($550), and generally appearing to be disingenuous to what the Tea Party actually stands for.

“[...]the convention has come under fire from some Tea Partiers who view it as inauthentic, and believe organizer Judson Phillips and his outfit, Tea Party Nation, are out to make a profit.” [TPM]

Hmm, conservatives getting con’d  into promoting something that ends up being self-defeating.  This is new to me.  NONETHELESS, This is bad news!  This is an EVENT FOR THE AGES.  I don’t want to miss out on all the kooky face-sacking that was about to go down here. (more…)

Will Michael Steele get teabagged?

This is Dale Robertson, leader of the Tea Party movement:

Dale Robertson

“A founder of the Tea Party movement said Wednesday he had a warning for Republican leaders: Back conservative candidates or else other states will suffer the same backlash that toppled Florida’s Republican Party chairman this week.” (more…)

moranThe Tea Party Patriots, the official Know Nothing wingnut American movement, had been planning a protest at the nation’s capital with what they called a “die-in” for the 15th of December in opposition of health care reform and government spending.  Here’s what a “die-in” is in case you’re lucky enough to not be aware of the existence of this group of blow-hards.

The intention is to go inside the Senate offices and hallways, and play out the role of patients waiting for treatment in government controlled medical facilities. As the day goes on some of us will pretend to die from our untreated illnesses and collapse on the floor. Many of us plan to stay there until they force us to leave.

The protest did happen as planned but without all the fake dying.  Unfortunately there were no actual deaths of any of the protesters either.
